Our programmes by art form

We develop imaginative film projects, curate contemporary British film programmes, organise international events and help filmmakers and industry experts represent the UK abroad.

Architecture, Design and Fashion are all art forms which are hugely important to Portugal’s Creative Economy. For the British Council, therefore, these often provide a focus for our work.

Electronica to jazz, traditional to folk, classical to indie: our music programme covers all genres of music, initiating long-term partnerships between British and Portuguese organisations.

We promote the best of the UK’s performing arts sector working in partnership with Portuguese artists, venues and organisations.
